Adryana Parris
Despite battling chronic Lyme disease and Bartonella, 17-year-old Adryana Parris of Fleming Island, Florida packed an incredible 1,747 Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts, bringing hope and joy to children around the world.
Five years ago, Adryana began packing shoebox gifts in memory of her grandmother, who faithfully served as a missionary throughout Latin America for more than five decades. Every Christmas since, she has increased her goal, demonstrating extraordinary perseverance, faith, and generosity.
Recognized as a "Shoebox Hero"
Adryana was honored by Samaritan's Purse as a Shoebox Hero after packing 1,747 gift boxes and helping raise more than $27,000 to support Operation Christmas Child and The Greatest Journey discipleship program.
"She's just a little teenager doing more than most adults. Adryana loves God with all her heart and soul. She had to quit school because of illness, yet she still accomplished this remarkable mission." — Ryman Shoaf, Teacher
