Robert “Bob” Johnson

Air Force Veteran • Community Volunteer • Fundraising Leader

Robert “Bob” Johnson served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and is a retired Air Force veteran. He stays connected with veteran groups, enjoys clay target shoots, and has a devoted heart for helping children with special needs.

For over 25 years, Bob has volunteered to raise funds for children, veterans, and families in need.

Shoot For A Cause

Bob has served for many years on the Board of Directors for Vietnam Veterans of America Jacksonville Chapter 1046. With his positive attitude and gift for organizing sporting clay shoots, Bob has raised thousands of dollars through his Shoot For A Cause events.

He typically organizes five or six fundraising shoots each year. The many organizations helped by Bob’s efforts include the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Jacksonville Juvenile Foundation, Florida State Council for Vietnam Veterans chapters, Semper Fi, Operation One Uniform, and the Clay County Police Athletic League.

Bob’s firm belief in giving back has been an inspiration and blessing to thousands.

Bob Johnson received the We Can Be Heroes Foundation Unsung Hero Award on September 13, 2025, during Jacksonville’s Constitution Week Celebration honoring veterans who pledged to defend the Constitution of the United States.
